Mental Health Consulting

There are approximately 8,300 practicing child and adolescent psychiatrists in the US and over 15 million children and adolescents in need of the special expertise of a child and adolescent psychiatrist. This disparity in access to quality, evidence-based, specialized care is the primary driver of the consultative work I do with therapists, pediatricians, school systems, and other professionals.

I have vast experience in providing consultation to practitioners across the state of Maryland—from monitoring the use of antipsychotic medications in children, to providing on-site and telepsychiatry services to Baltimore City schools with University of Maryland’s nationally recognized School Mental Health Program.

You’re passionate about caring for others, and you value evidence-based treatment. But perhaps your ability to help children with mental health needs is limited, or you’re simply overwhelmed by your caseload and seeking collaboration with a trusted professional.

I’m here to provide the resources, education, and support to help you help your patients, so you can feel confident that they are getting the care and treatment they need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you participate with insurance?

I do not participate with insurance. If you wish to submit charges to your insurance company, the necessary paperwork will be provided to you at your request.

How does payment work?

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept most major credit cards.

Are you accepting new patients?

My patient availability varies, so please contact me regarding my availability at this time.

What is your new patient intake process like?

During your child’s first appointment, I will conduct a 90-minute comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. This allows me to understand the mental and behavioral challenges your child may be facing, and begin to formulate a customized treatment plan that you and your family feel comfortable with.
